Torque Release Technique
About Torque Release Technique™
While there are many chiropractic techniques used by chiropractors all over the world, Drs. Jason and Marissa specialize in a technique that is neurologically-based (versus orthopedically based), very gentle and specific, and gets to the root cause of your health concerns. This technique is called Torque Release Technique (TRT). It also differs from traditional chiropractic techniques as there is NO POPPING, NO CRACKING, and NO TWISTING of the spine! This gentle, yet effective technique allows the doctors to adjust people of all ages and frames.
TRT incorporates analysis and adjusting procedures that are centered on the nervous system and its dural attachments. With this neurological model, tone (also known as dural tension) in the central nervous system can be restored, improving nerve flow between the brain and all organs, muscles, joints, and tissues. When communication between the brain and body is restored, the body is able to heal and function at its optimal potential.
The protocol of TRT allows the practitioner to find Primary Subluxations by focusing mainly on spinal segments with dural attachments thus affecting the entire nervous system. It is suggested that these dural attachments have a more profound effect on neural tension and on the total wellness of an individual than pressure generated manifestations. By modulating tension or tone of the nervous system, the brain and spinal cord are able to communicate more effectively so a person can experience a higher state of well being and health potential.
120 years of chiropractic in one technique...
TRT locates the exact point on the spine that requires adjustment.
There is no twisting, popping or cracking. Adjustable force on the instrument allows us to custom tailor each adjustment for different ages and conditions.
When correcting spinal misalignments, speed is superior to force. The integrator uses a high-speed, low-force impulse to allow for painless, gentle corrections.
Speed is an import factor for a pain-free adjustment. The impulse from the Integrator occurs in 1/10,000th of a second - the fastest impulse delivered by any chiropractic instrument.
The three-dimensional impulse from the Integrator (which includes torque) allows for correction of complicated misalignments that require realignment in multiple vectors.
TRT and the features of the Integrator are standardized to ensure consistent care, delivering identical results & experiences. Intra-examiner reliability is the cornerstone of this technique.
Published, peer-reviewed scientific research supports the effectiveness of TRT . The Integrator is only available to licensed doctors of chiropractic, is patented, and is the first device of its kind to be approved by the FDA.
The instrument used alongside TRT is called the Integrator (not to be confused with the Activator), and is an FDA approved device and is the only chiropractic adjusting instrument developed out of randomized clinical trial, blinded and with placebo control. It is the only device that enables the chiropractor to deliver a very specific force and incorporate axial force, torque, and recoil simultaneously into the adjustment at 64HZ, making it the only device (other than hands) capable of dimensional adjusting. This instrument is also unique as it has a pre-cocking, pressure sensitive tip with an automatic release mechanism with a “toggle recoil” thrust at 1/10,000th of a second allowing for intra-examiner reliability and reproducibility.
